The Implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning Method in Improving Student’s English Speaking Skill at Senior High School of Al-Falah Sumbergayam Kadur Pamekasan


The purpose of this research is to know how to the implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning method at Senior High School of Al-Falah Sumbergayam Kadur Pamekasan, Does Contextual Teaching and Learning method improve the student’s English speaking skill. There are five chapters of this thesis Background, review of related literature, research methodology, the result of research and conclusion and suggestions.

The data of this research obtained at Senior High School of Al-Falah Sumbergayam Kadur Pamekasan. This research uses a descriptive qualitative to explain the real condition of implementation of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method in improving English speaking skill at Senior High School of AL-FALAH Sumber Gayam Kadur Pamekasan. Than, the researcher analyzes the data based on the theory in getting a conclusion

Based on the result of this research that teaching and learning process in implementing the components ( Constructivism, Questioning, Inquiry, Modeling, Reflection and Authentic assessment) of Contextual Teaching and Learning method is effective enough, especially in improving student’s English speaking skill because most student motivated to speak highly. But it still has a weakness of that, the English teachers are Ach. Yani.SL, S.Ag and Anshari, S.Pd
